Description
A fun homemade version of chicken nuggets where the chicken is soaked in buttermilk and coated in crushed potato chips. Kids and adults will love these!
Ingredients
- 4 chicken breasts, cut into 1 inch pieces
- 1 1/2 cup buttermilk
- 1 cup crushed potato chips
- 1 cup panko breadcrumbs
- 1 tablespoon brown sugar
- 1/2 teaspoon seasoned salt
Instructions
- Combine cut up chicken breasts and buttermilk in a large bowl.
- Cover and refrigerate for at least two hours or overnight.
- In a separate bowl, combine crushed potato chips, breadcrumbs, brown sugar and seasoned salt. When ready to bake, preheat oven to 400F degrees.
- Line a baking sheet with foil and lightly spray with cooking spray.
- Drain buttermilk off chicken and coat chicken pieces in breadcrumb/potato chip mixture.
- Place chicken in a single layer on baking sheet and cook for 15 minutes or until chicken is cooked all they way through.
- Once cooked, nuggets can be frozen in an airtight container and reheated in a toaster oven or microwave.
