More Canning Recipes!!!
Canning week was a few weeks ago but lucky for you (and my pantry) the recipes keep on coming! Today I’m sharing three recipes I created as part of my ambassadorship with Dixie Crystals. These sweet canning recipes are a great addition to any pantry and all would make great gifts for the holiday season!
Plum Jam
This plum jam is nothing more than plums, sugar and lemon juice. I added a bit of orange zest (optional) to add a bite of freshness but this is truly simplicity at it’s best. I get so much satisfaction out of taking local produce and turning into something to enjoy all year round.
The plums are so good in Utah right now and this was canned with the plums at their absolute peek. You can use any varietal of plums you like. It’s great slathered on toast and makes an awesome almond butter and jelly sandwich. Get the recipe or the Plum Jam HERE.
Sweet Relish
I don’t eat a ton of sweet relish as I generally prefer large slices of dill pickles but I do turn to sweet relish when I’m making egg salad or grilling up some hotdogs. I can attest that it’s pretty hard to resist slathering this relish all over a charred hotdog hot from the grill with some spicy brown mustard.
I used local cucumbers, peppers and onion to make this relish and I even though it’s sweet, it’s complimented nicely by the turmeric, garlic and mustard seed. I see this becoming my go to condiment for leftover turkey and ham sandwiches this holiday season! You can get the recipe for this Sweet Pickle Relish HERE.
Blueberry Syrup
Of all three recipes I made for Dixie Crystals this go around, this Blueberry Syrup is hands down my favorite. It’s a little more labor intensive to make (though still pretty easy) and I love everything about it. You’ll never go back to commercial bought blueberry syrup again.
It’s bursting with fresh blueberry flavor and it’s not overly sweet. It’s so at home poured over a stack of hot flap jacks and is also delicious stirred into some seltzer water for a homemade blueberry soda. Honesty, this Blueberry Syrup is a must make. You can find the recipe for the Blueberry Syrup HERE.
Hope everyone had a great weekend and here’s to a fabulous week ahead. See you tomorrow for Taco Tuesday!!
These recipes were developed in partnership with Dixie Crystals. Though I was compensated, all opinions and thoughts are my own. Thank you for supporting brands I trust and use in my kitchen so I can bring you more unique content like this.

How long will the relish and syrup store? Will storing in the refrigerator be okay?
If you water bath them the relish and syrup will last in the cupboard for a year. Otherwise in the fridge for a few weeks.
Oh everything looks so good! I’m especially loving that plum jam!
I love the look of the jars with the blueberry sauce! Are those the Italian jars, Quattro Formaggi? If so, you can use the two part lid and ring!?
Hi Nancy! Yes the jars are Quattro Formaggi and, yes, I use the two part lid and ring!
