Double Chocolate M&M Cookies

Description

A chocolate cookie loaded with chocolate chips and M&M candies.


Ingredients

  • 1 3/4 cups all purpose flour
  • 1 1/4 cups cocoa powder
  • 1 1/2 teaspoons baking soda
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1 cup butter, softened
  • 1 cup granulated sugar
  • 3/4 cup brown sugar
  • 2 eggs
  • 2 teaspoons pure vanilla extract
  • 1 cup chocolate chips
  • 1 1/4 cup mini M&M candies

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 350F degrees.
  2. In a medium bowl, combine the flour, cocoa, baking soda and salt; set aside.
  3. In a large bowl, cream together the softened butter, brown sugar and white sugar until light and fluffy. Add eggs one at a time, beating well with each addition. Add vanilla, mix well.
  4. Gradually add flour/cocoa mixture to the creamed mixture. Fold in chocolate chips and 1 cup of the M&M candies.
  5. Drop cookie dough by rounded spoonfuls onto prepared (either greased or parchment lined) cookie sheet. Use the remaining 1/4 cup of M&M’s to press into the top of the cookies.
  6. Bake for about 10 minutes until cookies are fluffy but still soft. Remove cookies from tray and place on cooling rack to cool completely.
