Strawberry Kiwi Freezer Jam
A great way to extend strawberry season, this Strawberry Kiwi Freezer Jam is the perfect recipe for anyone new to preserving!
Strawberries mark the beginning of warmer weather- especially for us at higher altitudes. We often have snow and mornings in the 30’s well into May and- yikes- sometimes even June. But when I see strawberries in the grocery store I know that warmer weather is just around the corner! And while I don’t want to jinx anything, I think the warmer weather is here to stay. We’ve had 80 degree days for weeks and and hardly a cloudy day in sight.
The strawberries have been plentiful and it seems like they’ve been on sale every other week at our local grocery. I’ve been taking full advantage and buying them up quicker than we can use them. While this Strawberry Shortcake Pie is, without a doubt, my favorite recipe to make during strawberry season, jam is my favorite way to preserve strawberry season. And freezer jam more specifically. I love that the strawberry flavor is so bright since you’re not actually cooking the berries and you wont find an easier recipe. This jam is my favorite on a slice of buttered toast and it makes the meanest pbj in town!!

Have a great weekend, everyone and thanks for reading!! xo, Kelley

Will this recipe also work with other fruits besides strawberries?
I have tried a number of your recipes and they are great. Thank you for sharing.
As long as you keep the fruit/sugar ratio the same, the jam should work!
Sounds like an easy recipe! Thanks! Also the Dixie Crystal site is full of great information.
Do you make any altitude adjustments for a freezer jam recipe? I know you need to process longer for safety when doing shelf-stable canning, but my freezer jam also doesn’t fully set now that we live at 4,500 feet. Thanks!
I don’t make any adjustments when I am making freezer jam. Only when I process.
