The Goods
Did you have a great Thanksgiving? I sure hope so. Our weekend was family filled, action packed and a turkey-coma-eat-your-leftover-guts-out overload. If I’m being honest, I had a hard time coming back to reality, the blog and a schedule. I loved sleeping in, mid morning skiing and ignoring all responsibilities. What can I say? I do lazy days pretty darn well and I channel my inner ski bum whenever the snow starts to fly. But because being a slug doesn’t last for more than a few days around here, I’m back at it. I’m cooking up a storm and gearing up for the next round of holidays. ‘Tis the season for planning the next meal, am I right?
Next Tuesday is an annual cookie/holiday treat exchange that a bunch of my friends have done for almost 10 years. Not to toot my own horn but it’s kind of the best holiday party around. Year after year, we raise the cookie bar and I have to say, it’s a night I look forward to all year! I’m thinking of making:
these
this
these
these (but maybe with an added dollop of peanut butter) or maybe
these
Clearly I have no lack of inspiration. Maybe I’ll show up with multiple cookies!
Are you wondering what to get me for Christmas this year? This is my kind of gift guide. #cookbookaddict
This “THANK YOU” project is awesome. And a bit of tear jerker.
Do you need a break from social media?
For my fellow Utahn’s: drink it in.
This is what we’re filling our advent calendar with: kindness.
A boy and his (hot and totally hip) dad.
Do you do Elf on the Shelf? I have such a love/hate (mostly hate) relationship with our creepy little elves. I’m digging this list of EASY ideas. #thankyou
Fleece lined leggings? These were made for me.
I’m finally tackling this book since I’m on hold for the next season of this series at the library.
Have a great rest of the week everyone. Check back tomorrow for a recipe that involves brown butter, bananas and espresso. #winning

You rock sister. Thanks for including my fudge in the lineup! 😀
I also (finally) started The Fault In Our Stars this week. I’m almost finished and it is fantastically sad & witty & so, so GOOD!
So glad to hear, it’s been on my to-read list for ages!
I’m not a fan of that creepy elf either. Thank goodness Smudge eeked by that tradition. But she is going to love the random acts of kindness. Great share!
Have fun at your cookie exchange! xo
Wish you were closer and you could totally come. I’m sure you’d rise to the cookie challenge! 🙂
Thanks for the love, friend! MK if you make the cookies!
And that was supposed to be LMK not MK. 🙂
