The Goods
Last week was packed. It was something every day. Obligations, volunteering, dinners out, conferences, karate, baseball, catching up on work after a week away and mountains of laundry. The week flew by in a whirlwind. Looking back it was kind of a blur- the days sort of meld together in their busyness. It’s weeks like this that keep me humble. Even in the midst of the hectic-ness I always try and take a moment(s) through the day and stop. To see my surroundings, taste the meal in front of me and pay gratitude for the abundance in my life. Slow it down; that’s my take away this week; that’s The Goods. Have a good one, everyone!
I caught this pic of my boys as we were going in for yet another dinner out last week. It’s moments like this that I’m thankful for the technology of iPhones. Just saying.
We should all be so lucky to have this much moxy at any age.
How about a margarita (or two) to wash down your chips and salsa?
Is it weird that I want to marry this cake?
I’m so proud of my friend, Gina and her new book coming out. If you don’t know Skinny Taste, get on the lightened up food train. She’s the real deal.
Even though Salt Lake is only a 30 minute drive from Park City, I rarely spend any length of time there. I go to Costco and Target and them I’m out. Last week and weekend, I spent some time at a conference in downtown SLC and got to try a handful of new to me restaurants. My favorite find was Eva’s Bakery. It’s a must if you’re in the area. I had a great lunch but the highlight was their vegan chocolate cookie. Get on it.
And speaking of cookies, I’ve made these cookies 3 times in the last month. #unreal
I’m on a reading tear right now. I’m psyched to read this new-to-me book by one of my favorite authors.
Thank you, Home Depot, for the kids kit. It literally entertained my 7-year old for hours. I’m happy to report that my heat/air vents are fully operational now and all lint, elastic bands and match box cars of have been removed.

I just requested your book selection from my library. I love good books…thanks. I also think I need to fly to SLC for that cookie. Yum! Enjoy your week.
You too! I have loved all other Pam Houston books so hopefully this is a good one too!
Did you altitude adjust the cookie recipe?
Thanks!
I did. See my high altitude tips page- I decreased the leavening agent and sugar!
