The Goods
What a fabulous spring break we’ve had this week. We spent the first half of the weekend with friends and family in sunny St. George and now we’re home lounging and loafing, watching a ton of family movies, afternoon trips to the park and our daily afternoon outing to take care of our neighbors chickens. THAT is The Goods.
The weather has been cold here (hello, Utah spring) but none the less it’s been a fabulous week off. On monday the kids head back to school and we put our nose to the ground and get through to the end of the school year. This spring and summer are going to busy for us as we remodel our new-to-us but totally outdated house, head back East for a few weeks for our annual lake trip and both the boys are signed up for multiple sports this spring. I’m bracing myself for what’s ahead and enjoying the last few days of no school and no schedule! Hope y’all are having a great week too!
I’m all about the quick, make ahead meal. Especially when it involves garlic and chicken! #SoGood
Comfort food gets a healthy makeover. #AllThePasta
LOVE these cookies.
The crust. The caramelization. I just can’t. I want. It’s sweet and savory perfection!
Funky pizza. I’m all over it. (Not really funky, just Thai.)
Tiger parenting, helicopter parenting….and now lighthouse parenting….though this I could get behind.
This woman is incredible. Kicking ass and taking names at 88. I mean 87.
Cool facts about dates. (You know as cool as dates can be.)
I just finished this book and loved it so much. The one I’m reading now just isn’t doing it for me (too fluffy). I keep hearing great things about this book so maybe I’ll ditch my current book and read something else!
Have you or your kids been fighting the seasonal allergies and/or cough? (We SO have.) Check out these awesome natural remedies.
How do you say you’re sorry? And what it says about you.
I’ve been a longtime fan of this tinted moisturizer but I just bought this more natural one and bonus for it being SPF 30….I’ll let you know how it is! (I’m the most low maintenance person when it comes to makeup- a tinted moisturizer and mascara is all I do.)
Do you listen to podcasts? I’m a newbie but dove in head first. Loving this one and this one. Thanks to THIS awesome list of so many great recommendations.
Shameless plug here but check out this awesome video my family and I did for Snow.com! (Click on the video 1/2 way down the page.)
I need a new sports bra or two. Something high impact that’s going to keep my bigger than average ta-ta’s in place and more importantly, something that can either snap in the front or back- no more pullovers thanks to my dang shoulder. I’m thinking either this or this. Why is it that the bigger the bra you go the less cute they get? Grrrrr……
And before you go calling child services on me, these boys played in the dog crate for HOURS on Wednesday. They took turns “taking naps”, shared a snack in there (asking to be locked up, no doubt) and even built a fort with a special entrance and tried to get the dog to come with them. Who knew a dog crate could be so entertaining!

Looks like someone got their selfie stick. YES! LOVE the video! You guys are just too much. Enjoy the last days before the end of spring break with your gaggle of boys. And good luck keeping Nacho in check.
Check out Enell Sports Bras. Worth the money!
I’m checking it out now!
I, too, am carrying some hefty ta-tas and received an amazing tip from a woman who had worked the department store bra section for 50+ years— use an older regular bra and put it under a stretchy, well-fitting spandex sports bra. It’s essentially how the pricey ones are made anyways. It has saved me many a painful, bouncy jog. Cheers!
LOVE it!! What a fab idea, thanks for sharing!
