As I let on in my last post, I’ve been on a self imposed internet detox instead using my free time to read books, spend time outside with my kids and I’m knee deep planning a remodel on the house we bought last fall. Speaking of…..do you have any interest in me doing updates on the remodel? Because if so, I’ll get on the “before” pictures before it’s too late. My kitchen is going to be pretty awesome…just saying!

Visting the cutest family farm in Hood River, Oregon.

We’re eating a ton of salads right now. (Trying to shed the winter layer I put on!) I’m guilty of getting in a salad rut, making the same thing over and over, so have been on the lookout for new-to-me salad recipes. Seems like I’m not the only one eating salads right now!

Loving this quinoa salad. Bonus points for how gorgeous it is.

I got some baby carrots in my CSA this week so can’t wait to try this vinaigrette for some simple greens.

And this salad screams summer potluck.

I pinned this salad a few weeks ago and bought all the ingredients yesterday to make it this weekend!

With all the salads we’re eating, is it cool if we have dessert for breakfast?

My summer reading loot!

I just a big order from this site. 11 books for $23!! It’s hands down my favorite place to order books online as they’re cheap and all proceeds help promote literacy!

I picked up this cookbook at my local library sale last week and I’ve already earmarked half a dozen recipes to make.

LOVED this book. I read it in a matter of hours. Definitely recommend.

I read this book on a weekend trip last month as I’ve read all her books. It was only ok for me. Cute but…meh.

I’m reading this book now (in-between watching a ton of World Cup soccer) and so far so good. It’s my second Elin Hilderbrand book and I enjoyed the first. I’ll let you know when I’m done.

This face sums up how I feel about running. But I do it anyway….

Ugh….running. I have such a love/hate with it. And if I’m being really honest, it’s mostly hate. BUT it’s something that I can get done bright and early before the kids get up and Nacho has SO much energy it’s a great way to tire her out first thing.

I just bought my second pair of these local running shoes and I’m obsessed. I’ll never buy another brand.

To stay motivated a girl’s gotta look good right? How cute are these leggings?

After Nacho ate my fit bit …*ahem*….I bought myself one of these. It’s a great motivator to keep moving and reach your goal each day!

The kids are out for summer and skate camp is up first!

The kids are out of school and we’ve got a couple camping trips planned. Do you have any favorite foods you like to make or take camping? I’d love to hear!

How cool is this breakfast idea? My kids would LOVE it. And I’m sure I’d happily gobble one with my camping coffee!
