I’m looking for a candy cane cookie recipe. My recipe that I used at sea level turns to pancakes here in flagstaff at 7000 feet! Any tips would be great. Erin.
Most recipes need to be adapted for high altitude. Check out my “cheat sheet“. This might help!
Your recipes have changed my life!! My husband is U.S. Air Force, Ret., so we have lived between sea level and 6,100 ft. for years. We moved back home to Idaho and we knew high altitude baking/cooking is a bit tricky. I finally realized just how tricky when my husband uttered those words, “These biscuits are okay.” Really? Seriously? I realized this is the first time we’ve lived at 6,100 ft.
I started a frantic search for a high altitude biscuit recipes and found you! The rest is history. Thank you for sharing your wisdom, your knowledge and your recipes. All the best to you and your family.
Cheers!
