The Goods
You know the saying, when it rains it pours? Well, it couldn’t have been more true this week. My schedule was relentless with obligations every day, the 24-hour stomach bug made an appearance in our house, the site was down for a day and a half and that cute little pup of mine at the computer charger so once my laptop ran out of power, I was done for. And to top it all off, I’ve been playing single mama this week as my better half is off crashing cars and jumping off buildings. Between commuting between umpteen appointments and sports practices, cleaning up puke, and looking at a blank computer screen, I’ll be happy to see this week end. But tis the way it goes and if I’ve learned anything about being a parent, this is just the way some weeks go. So without further ado, here’s this weeks The Goods (albeit a few days late) and here’s hoping for a relaxing weekend and yeah for a new laptop charger!
I saw so many awesome blogger recipes floating around the web this week, it makes me psyched to be part of such an awesome community! Here’s what caught my eye:
I must have this for dinner one night soon. Bonus points for using the slow cooker. Pass the wine- I’ve earned it.
I’ll have all the soup.
My favorite dip in a pizza. Total game day food!
But these!! They are so happening at our Super Bowl party on Sunday!
Holy hit the motherlode chicken recipe: THIS!!!
And I want it all for dessert. Like ALL OF IT.
Would you believe I’ve never made cinnamon rolls? I’m hoping to make them on Saturday. And then lay on the couch in a sweet roll coma.
This video is for my fellow ski town folks. It’s hilarious. And SO true.
Classic prank. And a very understanding wife.
How long can those home canned goods live on your shelf?
I’ve owned three of these swimsuits over the years and they’re my favorite. Sexy and just the right amount of support to hold ’em up and suck ’em in. I just scored this one at TJ Maxx for $30. Woot, woot!
To have an epidural or not? Absolutely no judging on my end but as someone who opted for two natural childbirths, I can’t help but agree with so many points made in this article.
We’re planning a family vacation to the Aulani Disney Resort in Hawaii. Have you been there? Any recommendations for things to do, see and eat in and around the resort?
Do you watch Parenthood? I have to admit I stopped watching after the 3rd or 4th season. I guess I need to get on it. Everyone talking about the finale rekindled my interest.
I just ordered this as my next read. Have you read it? Nothing but awesome reviews!
Sweet Nacho is growing like a weed. She’s feisty, chewed three holes in our leather couch (argh), and discovered that unrolling toilet paper provides hours of fun. So much work and so much love in 15 lb of chocolate fur.
Have a great weekend, everybody! xo, Kelley

Glad you’re feeling better Kelley. Love your pup – so cute and content. Have a wonderful weekend.
Sorry you had such a lousy week. Some weeks are just like that.
I thought Parenthood got much better with age! Sad to see it end.
Hope next week will be better for you!
What a crazy week you had! But at least you hit the slopes š that’s the most important! I hope you’re weekend was better than your week, and thanks for the share š
I’ll second that on having ALL of the soups! And your pup… adorable. I remember Henry eating rolls of toilet paper. What a strange thing.
Thanks for including my cake š
